How it is drawn Deep Light The safe one. Clean line, deep light, and it looks painted. The widest choice. Reads well at any size and prints beautifully on canvas. Twelve Colours Twelve colours and no more. Film grain does the rest. The most distinctive. Its grain needs care at very large print sizes. Watercolour Wet paper and a slow sky. The best wall art of the eight. The weakest on dark apparel. Screentone Black ink and screentone. Nothing else is on the page. Outstanding on apparel and cases. Harder to sell as a large colour canvas. Rim Light The sky goes white before the face does. The look most people picture. Prints light — strong on canvas and pale apparel, weakest on black. Key Line One key line holds it. Flat colour fills it. Our best poster and tote hand. It gives up depth on purpose, so it stays quiet on a large canvas. Airbrush Hot sun, hard shadow, airbrushed until it shines. The only warm direction we make. Best where the others go cold — pale apparel and big canvas. Wet Street It rained an hour ago and every sign is still on. Made for dark apparel and phone cases. Its blacks go muddy on cheap paper stock. Poster Paint Thick opaque paint, and you can see every stroke. Matte and bold. Made for posters and paper; it flattens a little on glossy canvas. Pencil And Tea A sketchbook page: graphite line, tea-coloured wash. Quiet and intimate. Beautiful on archival paper, lost on dark garments. Riso Print Two inks, slightly out of register, grain everywhere. The loudest flat print. Posters, totes and tees; it fights a big canvas. Pastel Dusk Soft chalk, smudged edges, the light just after sunset. The gentlest hand. Large canvas and paper; too soft for phone cases. Leaded Glass Black leading, jewel colours, light coming through. Graphic and luminous. Strong on canvas and on white apparel; busy on small cases. Single Brush Ink and water and a lot of empty paper. The sparest hand. Archival paper first; it reads as a mark, not a picture, on a hoodie. Gilt Night Black lacquer and gold leaf. Everything else is shadow. The richest hand at size. Deep canvas and dark apparel; too dark for cheap paper. Halftone Pop Silkscreen primaries and dots you can count. Flat, loud and printable on anything. Its dots go muddy below poster size.
